It is best to use an antiwear ISO VG 46 Hydraulic Oil branded oil from Shell, Castrol, Exxon-Mobil etc.. Better still you could use a HLP type VG 46 oils from the above brands.

ZDDP is an integral package in the Lube and Oil Cos., are the best judge for the amount of Zinc. While the automotive industry is exiting the Zinc packages as the catatylic filter (CF) in the exhaust get coated, thereby reducing the life of CF. The Industrial application do not have such problems.

However, a word of caution, with probable ingress of water or moisture; as this precipitates as 'white substance" on the filter.
