Hi,

Does anyone know about the NSF-61 standard and its applicability? I work at a municipal water company and we have two very old solids scrapers directly over a basin that decants water back to the headworks of our water treatment plant. The gearbox used to drive the scraper unit sits on the platform directly over each .5 million gal. basin. The scraber bullgear sits in a bath of at minimum 20 gallons of oil. There is a potential for overflows during rainy season and water contamination, in fact we've had indications of water displacement due to poor system design. Is this suseptable to NSF-61 requirements? and does anyone know of a oillubricant supplier of NSF-61 certified lubricants?

Thanks
