Baseline FT-IR Spectrum

How would you establish a baseline IR spectrum for new oil using FT-IR that has never been used and vendor will not supply the spectrum.
or any baseline for that matter how is this done for new and used oils.

Simple,take spectra of new oil and keep it in the standard library for the future.Whenever new or fresh of the same category comes,you can compare the spectra of the sample with the standard kept in the library.
