Hi Ajay

As lubtech was saying,
Anti Seize compounds do not usually have a low coefficient of friction,
we have seen instances of stiction in heavily loaded pin and bush situations where No Seize was applied instead of the correct lubricant,
If you wish to check the difference in friction when tightening important hold down bolts the bolt should be measured for correct extension when tightened and the tightening torque recorded,
if you don't measure the extension of the bolt it could undertightened or pulled in half as we have seen with some of the new super lubes being used as thread lubricants.

Dear AJS,

Sorry for delayed reply to this blog. Considering your question my feeling says you are relating this question with thread dope compound & not nut bolt applications. If I am right I can give you testing rig as per API norms where you can check co-efficient of friction of pipe dope compound.

Please feel free to call me on 9867535930.
