Terry T , I was refering to something like the Oil Check Condition Meter, this uses changes in dielectic properties to assess oil condition.
What you are using is a much more sophisticated apparatus, with more wide ranging tests.
Dielectric properties of new oil will be affected by water content which will vary with delivered new oil and stored new oil.(new oil spec is 'clear and bright', except for transformer oil and some specialities where water is controlled to max ppm)
i.e. dielectric properties given will only be typical values.
Hi Terry,

I am using CSI 5200 Tri-Vector Analyzer as well. Normally when we get new batch of Lube oil, I will do a reference oil testing using 5200. With my experience so far, I do not find significant dielectric value change with respect to different batches. Used oil dielectric values changes due to water contamination, wear debris or other particulate contamination.

Hope this helps

Regards
