Thanks for the response Barkerman, it was worth a good hearty chuckle and I enjoyed it tremendously. I have had a look at their website and information thereon. The problem that I have is that this product seems to emulsify water into the diesel, making it invisible to the naked eye. Water is still water and can not within reason change into a hydrocarbon through some clever chemistry.
My superiors believe that this product is worthwhile investigating and testing, yet I seem to think that it could just be a monumental waste of time and harmful to the test machinery. I have tried to seek independant research or alternative tests other than what the Dieselfix salesman offers, but this is very difficult to find - thanks again for your response

The chemistry of the DIESELFIX compound is not something that I am an expert in but I am familiar with the concept of emulsification and that is not what is referred to in the DIESELFIX website. Some compounds do cause emulsification of water in diesel fuels, and the emulsification of the water may allow the water to pass through most filtration and separation media, but emulsification is not a good thing for the diesel injection system.
In the DIESELFIX website they refer to causing solubility of the water in the diesel fuel, such that there is no longer any appreciable inter-facial tension between the water and the diesel fuel, meaning that there are no longer any microscopic water droplets, smaller than 10 um, the water is truly held at the molecular level.
In the molecular form, water will not cause any problems in the fuel system, that are known to me, unless the water concentration is at a level, say > 2%, where the water content may cause a breakdown of the viscous lubricating, and rust inhibiting properties of the diesel fuel itself. (I do not actually know what level of water the DIESELFIX compound can handle effectively.)
I do admit that the DIESELFIX website is poorly written with more than a few spelling and grammatical errors. It also gave me a few chuckles…

Craig, maybe you could explain what you are trying to do and others can help or share their experience.
Craig, try Renewable Lubes soy based Diesel Fuel Conditioner. I've been using it for months, and it helps in the mileage department, is highly concentrated, and the engine seems to run smooth, a little quieter, and (this is by apperance of the oil only) cleaner.

from people or organisations which have tried and tested it and have an opinion
that may help us get a better perspective without spending countless hours
re-inventing the wheel.
The concept of fuel conditioning is one that could be considered contentious.
Why is there a need to improve the inherent qualities of the diesel if the
refineries are providing the market with a top quality product ?
Sure, the physical nature of fuel changes through age and external contamination,
but fuel conditioning will only help make an un-acceptable fuel, semi-acceptable.
Why run your engines on fuel that is known to be harmful without treating?
Why not just ensure that your fuel source is contamination free and use effective
house-keeping practices to maintain the fuel in an acceptable state without treating.
In my view, no amount of increase in lubricity will erase the potential of damage due
to solid contamination, only lessen the effects of damage.
If anyone can help put this issue in perspective, I would be grateful

Did you get clarity on this product, we had a presentation by the supplier of the product and he is promising less fuel consumption, more running hours, less emmission levels and so on.

Thank you for your response on this subject matter. I unfortunately do not have clarity on the matter, only information supplied by the Dieselfix sales people, which I would suspect to be
one sided. What I am really seeking is independant test results from operators that have tried
or are using the product.
This information seems to be relatively scarce.
