Hello experts... I work with an electro-mechanical Instron Load frame that is designed mostly for static testing. It does have the software capability to do cyclic testing however. My question is: Should we increase the wear on the machine by having it do some cycle testing, or should we do none at all.
In my opinion, some cycling should not have a great amount of added wear, seeing as I will make sure that the machine is properly grease and maintained beforehand. I would really appreciate some more opinions, because right now, my viewpoint is in the minority. Thanks.
