I am in the concrete pumping industry and looking to change the oil in the gear box on 3 of our machines. The manufacturer is telling us to use an ISO VG 150 synthetic oil.The gearbox contains a bronze shift fork so I am not quite sure what to use.We have a local supplier who has Shell Omala HD 150 and I am wondering if this will be suitable for our application.I have also looked in to Lubriplates syntec gear oil although it is a little more pricey than the Omala.Any suggestions will be helpful. We are located in the New Orleans area which means high heat and humidity.

I believe Shell Omala HD is a synthetic PAO ISO VG 150 industrial gear. I'd suggest you contact Shell to confirm. If humidity and moisture is an issue - perhaps using desiccant breathers on these gear boxes will help reduce moisture ingression. With the type of EP additives used in industrial gear oils nowadays, it usually is not a problem with yellow metal components.
