probably no grease will actually go into the bearings because it is easier for the grease to go around the hole in the outer race through the space between the bearing and the flanges like the water does. OEM wasn't smart enough to make this system right. I'm using grade 3 for resistance and it has the best washout (.8) that I can find. no brakes at wheels. Do you know of anything better? Wheel bearings and seals have low psi, Low heat, and turn at low rpm.
Water washout is an important test but it does not always tell the true story in an application. The test is about the amount of loss when subjected to a spray of water. I have seen greases which will give good readings in this test but when put into a dymamic application (rotating bearing etc) with water will completely breakdown and fail. This product of ours LE3752 is excellent for wet applications, it does not emulsify and provides a very effective tacky seal.

Hope it helps,
