Read our primer articles on High Mileage Oil, Synthetic Oil and Kinematic Viscosity

Currently we use mostly Kyodo Yushi greases on our products we manufacture. I am looking for equivalent greases and vendors to investigate for cost reductions. It would be best to convert all to same supplier to consolidate.

The greases that we use are:
Multemp ACD
Multemp SH-W
Multemp LT No 2
Multemp Tas No 2

We also use Shell Alvania EP Grease 2.

Thanks in advance.

It's very often easy to consolidate greases and avoid confusion. I was once able to reduce the number requires on one machine from 11 to 3, with lower temperatures.
To compare greases you need to know the characteristics as hussam suggested. Most importantly you need to know:
--Maximum and minimum temps expected.
--RPM and bearing diameter (you choose the viscosity of the base oil in the grease by the same formula you would use if it was lubed with oil.
--Presures: You will find Timken values anywhere from 0 to 75 lbs.
--Water washout or absorbsion.
Well, I apologize for not providing enough service to you.
If you have any problems with our products, please remember that we are always here to support you.

Best regards
