Not sure if it's available in Norway but Texas Refinery Corp. makes some really good grease. Their 880 Crown & Chassis Grease and Paragon 3000 Grease both have very good high load rating's. The 880 Crown & Chassis Grease was actually designed to lube the bearings on drilling rigs that support the weight of 2-3 miles of pipe in the ground.
Larse,

You may want to find a grease that has a high base oil viscosity, and also able to work at low temperature. Based on climate conditions in Norway, I may suggest to get some grease with a PAO base oil of a viscosity around 320 or 460 and a sound anti wear technology. Normal synthetic greases for low temperatures called "Arctic" are made with low base oil viscosities, so you will have to search well in the market.
Good luck.

Hi Larse, for Heavy Load slow speed bearing, normally following spec grease has proven successful since long in construction and heavy industries.
Specs;
Li or Li-Ca thickener
High Base oil viscosity of 1000 cst or more
Solid Lubricant combination of MoS2 and Graphite.

Carl Bechem Lubricant has got similar grease named High Lub FA 50 MO.

larse,

What you may do is set the minimum requirements for base oil viscosity for grease (i.e. minimum 1000 cSt @ 40 degrees C), and Timken OK Load and Weld characteristics (i.e. 50 kg and 450 kg, respectively), and then try to find grease that meets those requirements. However, I would not advice you to look for a certain EP additive in grease, because by doing that you may limit your options. That way you can benefit from constant R&D programs of the grease manufacturers, where they are often breaking new grounds by discovering new and more effective additives chemistries.
Hello all i would reccomend SE-100 grease its a calcium sulfonate grease that will take 600 F and a timken load of 75 or 80 its the best stuff we've ever come across its waterproof etc i just cant say enough about it and its at the best price we've ever found there a small family owned and operated company who sells the best grease i've ever seen at lower prices because there a smaller company without all the overhead costs etc STEWARD ENTERPRISE INC in APPLETON WI usa 800-569-6845 www.stewardenterprise.com ask for james steward

For what kind of equipment and operating conditions?

This is what AMSOIL recommends for high load, slow speed, needle bearings http://www.amsoil.com/storefro...por2.aspx?zo=1181889 . You can contact AMSOIL International to see if this product is available in your area.
