Hot hydraulic oil

Our colliery has a conveyor brake attached to the conveyors gearbox. The brake unit tank is running at approx. 60 deg C with the brake unit on the gearbox running at approx. 100 deg C. We are currently using an ISO 68 cSt hydraulic oil and would like to use a sub. The gearbox is underground - in a coal mine!!!!

What type brake-hydraulic release and mechanical set? Is it possible you are not fully releasing the brake and running thru it?
