I have a 1983 Ford CL-25 skid steer loader. I lost some of the hydraulic fluid when the loader tipped backwards. I refilled the resevoir with about 5 quarts of Valvoline R&O 700 hydraulic fluid. After I had poured the fluid in I noticed a sticker next to the filler that was covered with grease, When I cleaned it off it read fill with 10w 30 SE CC motor oil. Now I am worried that the hydraulic fluid is not compatible with the original oil in the system. Is it safe to have the hydraulic fluid in the system with to old lubricant?
