Read our primer articles on High Mileage Oil, Synthetic Oil and Kinematic Viscosity

Bear...I should have added as well, running an oil past it 'drain time' could also cause issues...Hell it wasn't till 5 years ago I even started using synthetics. But I always took care of what I purchased.

To some a car is nothing more than a tool to get from point A to B. I like to take care of what I own...Like I imagine the great majority of people who frequent these oil sites.

My Uncle has a 30 year old Pontiac that he only puts on about 7000 miles a year, its all gunked up and he does not care, it still runs.

He has a stuck thermostat which obviously leads to problems, and he changes the oil once or twice a year, but short trip driving and a stuck open thermostat have led to deposits in the engine.

You guys have any issues with your engines sludging using dino?

I've been driving 30 years and never had one...I would imagine though if you abused them or didn't take care of mechanical/cooling issues it could lead to it...

In every engine that ran dino, I've never had a sludge issue. Car, lawn mower, snowblower.

So, to listen to Trajan, extended oil changes, thereby saving time and money in the long run are not good reason to use synthetic oils?

Well?

Find that kirk started thread that you claim I posted a picture in you feckless trolling liar?
43 pages, and still, nothing beyond the shrill cries of the cult.

Young lady, perhaps you should try providing some reputable information. Yes, I know, you're hoping that your shrill cauterwalling will drown out that you have none. But you will fail.

I see you did not take my advice and peruse through your fellow cultist comments.

You see, my young child with much to learn. I don't need to use this to know it's crap.

The engine that seized because of this rotten oil on a neighbor's 2007 Z4 is all the proof I need.

Very true. Chronic liars eventually get caught-up in their own "stories."

"Hey JACKA$$ before you accuse someone of that know what your FU***** talking about...Personally I could care less if it works...or mmo works...or horse piss works...it was funny to me, and yes I know your a spokesman for the product...have a little bit of humor in you JACKA$$... its only an oil additive.

If you had read earlier in this post I acknowledge it works for some, just as MMO works for some...It just doesn't work for everyone, just as MMO doesn't work for everyone. That has been established by multiple threads over at BITOG..Basically I'm neutral on this product. Whomever may purchase it I hope it works for them.

I take strong offense to being labled as one who as multiple identities...You could not be more wrong on that account. If my finding humor in the comparison with synlube, hurt your little ARX feelings, well I could give a rats a$$ about that as well.

The only similarities I see between SynGoop and ARX, are that the defenders like to toss out baseless accusations, congratulations your in great company slick."

Give him time. He has to spend some effort to make one. The boy screwed up, he knows it, but would rather be known as a liar.

You shouldn't be sorry. You didn't do it. Hey, even a thread asking for an E/M equivilent of a brand of compressor oil gets turned into one.

But it was okay for both of you to post pics of your cars unrelated to a thread started by Capt. Kirk?

That was different, right?

Well?

Yes, it is different. Especially as the thread you claim he started does not exsist.

It's this one: https://forums.noria.com/eve/fo...16604995/m/242104424 that has my pic in it.

Now, if you had bothered to read, you would see that it was Deltona Dave that started said thread. I know, I know, they sound alike.

If you had bothered to read it, it was your boy kirk who went off on yet another tangent that went nowhere.

So ummm, where exactly is this phantom thread started by kirk that I posted a picture in?

Well? Where is it? Where is this thread you claim he started that I posted a picture in?

Come on son, you wouldn't want us to think you just make things up for the sake of trolling and giving some substance to your very being?

Oops.... too late..... already do.
I put the Redline in the Corvette the engine runs great...I need more power though.. I had one caliper leaking upfront...I replaced the front 2 and all the brake hoses and lines.

I will be having a local Corvette shop remove and repair the entire rear end assembly this will run me about 4-5k. But it will look and perform as new.

Then it will be on to the front end...and so on an so on...Basically I think I will be dropping about 20k in the next year on this car when all is said and done...I'm kind of particular so I won't be satisfied until all is as new....But I knew this going in...

Wow.......another visit to the thread with a pic of a blown engine, that was sludged up and then cleaned for the photo shoot...Yep....that's the one.

Here is the real, true story about the engine. And to think Dave has issues with trusting,ME!

http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/...wflat&Number=1829761

As you can see........the engine is not only sludged.......but totally shot!

Why are we even talking to this guy!

You are correct. I am wrong. That thread was not started by Capt. Kirk. I apologize for the error.

That thread was a total lie......so of course it was not started by me. It was started by a liar, known as Dave. See above proof, and below.

https://forums.noria.com/eve/fo...16604995/m/242104424

and now this link showing the opposite, and also the truth.

http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/...wflat&Number=1829761

Don't tell me Dave you forgot, or spaced out with your memory over just 3 weeks. Don't give us......"I'm getting old and I forget". That "stunt" you pulled is not from a senile old man. Instead,it's coming from someone who knows all to well what he is doing. Some politicians come to mind on that note.

Your clever.........but I got ya! Wasn't really that hard!

By the way.......those Jenny Pics........looks like Pa grass in the photo to me(trajan...SE PA),that ain't florida grass....... "dave",I mean Trajan.

His apology is as worthless as he is. Too stupid, what was that phrase... dumb as dirt... to actually think before he posts.

But hey, this guy defends simlube like it's his own child, but is afraid to use it in a new truck.

Even though it claims you can use it in a new vehicle.........
Thanks Trajan...The car has never been in an accident...The body/paint and interior are as new...But after spending a few days on my back putting the brake lines in, and eating dirt and grease I decided if I am going to have this toy...I want it to be as best as it can.

It won't be a body off restoration...It just is not in that bad of condition. But I want the suspension front/rear upgraded. I will have the under carriage detailed and finished.

It has a TH400 transmission in it and I will rebuild stronger, and with a shift kit...The motor I want in the 350-400 HP range...Not a beast but strong.

I want a classic cruiser. When I get around to it I will post some pics of the interior and some more exterior shots. This was my thread before the hijacking...Is it all right to post pics in my thread?

Trajan, sometimes you show yourself to be dumb as dirt.

Capt. Kirk doesn't have to explain why "his buddy" isn't using Synlube simply because you say so. Again Trajan, you are as dumb as dirt. I'm going to answer your stupid remark this once. The oil must be changed every 8 000 kms max.

Do you understand now?

Well?

Hey, when your single cell brain stops fighting for dominance for a bit, that oil you defend with such poorly placed vitriol claims you can use it in a new truck.

Guess you don't believe in it after all.

So much for all that wasted effort eh.

At least til he gets out of collage. Unless he goes to grad school. Big Grin

You could always go the forced induction route. That seems to be a common mod for mine.

But, yeah, the kid comes first.
Yeh I was the oldest of 4 kids, so when I graduated high school '1982' it was like okay your on your own kid.

I worked and went to school and of course being young 'wooped' it up alot as well. He's our only child, so needless to say he gets spoiled alot.

With me traveling so much I think I feel guilty and tend to go overboard as far as providing for him. The school he will be attending is Digipen Institute of Technology.

The campus is in Redmond, WA. about 20 minutes from the house, and not to far from the Microsoft campus.

USA Today had their school rated as the 2nd highest in the nation behind USC in his course study, which will be video game design. And they also offer masters programs...Damn...
