Has anyone ever used Krytox GPL106 lube oil. We recently changed to it in the bearing housings on our Klaus Union mag drive pumps for our hot oil system. The oil is dowtherm-A I think and we run it at @ 240 deg C. The oil turns to a milky brown color after a few weeks. I sent a sample from the housing and oiler to our oil lab and found that there was a considerable amount of water in it. My thought is that due to the fact we have plain breathers on these pumps and we are in a high humidity area, that we are getting condensation in the oil from the atmosphere that is oxidizing the housing interior and somehow making it's way to the oiler. Does this sound feasible or am I out in left field somewhere.
Kind regards,
