Hey, ever gotten a discount notification the moment you walked past a store? Happened to me yesterday, and it actually got me to go in and buy something. It made me realize how much businesses are using geospatial data to personalize offers in real-time. Seems like a smart way to boost engagement, but I wonder if people will eventually start tuning these out like they do with email spam.

That’s exactly why location-based marketing works so well—it hits people at the right moment when they’re already nearby and more likely to act. I read on https://www.bluedothq.com/blog/avoma-alternatives that companies now track foot traffic to predict peak hours and adjust their offers accordingly. It’s all about sending the right deal at the right time. But yeah, if notifications become too frequent, it might have the opposite effect and just annoy customers.

I think it’s a balance. If I’m getting a few well-timed offers, I don’t mind. But if my phone starts buzzing with deals every time I pass a store, that’s when I’d probably start ignoring them. Businesses need to find that sweet spot where they’re helpful without being too aggressive.
