Limits fot Servo Torque 10

Hi.
I've a question related to the acceptableand rejection TAN limits/values for Servo Torque 10(supplied by Indian Oil)which is a transmission oil used in a hydraulic coupling in one of our equipments.
Looking forward for an early reply in this regard.

You need to find out the new oil TAN value, and go from there. Basically an increase of 1 is max limit (in most cases). If you cant find the new oil TAN value in the technical documentation with the oil, just send in a new oil sample to the lab.

Dear Sir,
Thanks.W'll it is Ok, but for setting a base line for transmission oil is it Ok setting the normal limit <3 for alert >4. Because on testing a fresh oil we get a value 1.8.
Kindly let me know whether I can go forward by setting these limits.

I think you should then have TAN 3 as maximum allowed. If you reach TAN 4 on a TAN 1,8 oil you have a very high increase.
