What do you guys think of using this in my Mercedes gasoline engine (3.2 V-6).

What viscosity does it call for? Mobil 1 SUV 5w-40, which is also the same oil as the older Delvac 1 is one of the best oils out there. It's a bit thick but if that is what is needed, I'd use it. According to BITOG, this oil contains a good amount of esters. I know the UOA's for M1 SUV 5w-40 have been among the best. (If UOA's are any indication that is LOL)

There are many different weights that are approved by Mercedes, but the one they stress is Mobil 1 0w40. Right now I'm using Amsoil 5w-40 European. It is approved by Mercedes. Approved meaning "Mercedes 229.5".

Delvac1 5w40 is a stout oil.
I wouldn't be afraid to use it even if it doesn't have the MB spec stuck on it.
