before greasing the DE and non DE of motors, vibration readings are taken.The motors are then greased with the specified number of shots.The vibration readings are then taken again.You would think by greasing the motors that the vibration readings would be reduced but roughly 50% of the motors vibration readings after greasing are unchanged or have actually increased.Any suggestions why this is?

The vibration readings would increase immediately after greasing as the new grease has not had a chance to get mixed in with the older grease yet. If the bearings are overgreased the vibration levels will also increase as the rollers may not be rotating but sliding due to the excessive grease. Do you have pressure reliefs isntalled on the bearing drains to try and eliminate overgreasing?
