I am new to this forum and would like to know what NAS stands for and what are its cleanliness requirements for Industrial Gear box oils

wellcome to the forum
NAS is abreviation of National Aerospace Standard.

In lubrication NAS code is the way to express the cleanliness of the lubricant.

For gearbox, I prefer to express in ISO Cleanliness Code rather than NAS Cleanliness Class.
18/15 as clean and 22/18 as dirty
