In Australia, both Perkin Elmer and Varian supply ICP, FTIR, GC and viscometers. The particle counter is normally by PAMAS. It would be best to contact them about what instruments are available and at what price. There are also oil analysis test kits for quick tests that can be purchased made by different companies.

It is used throughout the world and is especially useful for liquids such as oils and solvents as the sample does not flow through the instrument.

I have been using a HIAC PODS particle counter for about 4 years on all mineral and synthetic hydraulic oils. Average about 45 samples per month. It works on bottle samples or on line samples - the best way. Very easy to use. I understand they also have a unit for glycol based fluids now.

at present we are looking for suppliers of viscometers,rapid testers or GC (for fuel dilution). We need to up grade ourequoipment.The set which we have are very old.any help would be appriciated

GC,ICP&FTIR are only Lab instrument but you can found portable instrument for viscosity ,particle count etc.

these instruments are a littile bit costly and also have high maintenece costs and require regular calibration .
but you can go on for some automatic viscometers for finding out viscosity which is one of the major indicators for finding out the condition of your oil.
