I am looking at metal quenching into an oil (I am not sure about the oil type). The quenchant is at 433K while the metal is at 1200K. The values of oil saturation temperature provided is around 700K. Is this possible that such a very high level of subcooling is available for quenching process?

Can someone tell me what is the nominal value of saturation temperature of oils at 1bar?
