Read our primer articles on Grease Guns and Oil Sight Glasses.

If you had to design an oil storage dispensing shed what would it look like? I'm talking about drawings plans that show racks, drains cupboards, ventilation, waste oil tank, dispensing equipment, facility for loading and unloading 205L drums, etc.
Has anyone gone through this before? is there best practice information on what's required?
The application is a steelworks with plenty of airborne contamination.

You can speak to Transtank. They have kitted out containers with dispensing equipment, racks, drain racks etc... These are widely used as satellite storage stations around fixed plant mine sites. You can fit IBC, 205L and 20L drums depending on what your requirements are. The website is www.transtank.com under products tab up the top - go to Lubricant Storage - there's lots of pictures so it will give you some idea. Hope this helps.
Hi Frank

there are some excellent articles on the Noria Web site on this subject and there are images of the "best" lube rooms to check out,

"Is your lube room up to par" by Jason Kopschinsky, Noria Corporation
is the latest one we viewed,

Of interest the best were like a clean lunch room, this is understandable as the dirt that damags machinery is the same size range for "bugs" that cause sickeness in us
