I run Valvoline Dura blend 15-50 in my Jet Boat, which has a Subaru EA71 (1600cc) powerplant. It has an oil temp guage (VDO) and it sits between 90-105 deg C. Do you consider this ok? What change interval (hours) do you feel would be best for this application. The local Valvoline rep says 100hrs but that is a long time.

It depends where you are taking the oil temperature from. Are you taking this temp from the pan or somewhere else in the engine.
