hi every one
in our plants we use paraffinic base oils(specially in turbines).i want to know if doing the particle counter test with laser PCs is correct or not?i've heard that the paraffins can been seen as particles and the result is not right?

There are no candles in turbine oils, Laleh.

Of course particle count tests are correct.

And...whoever told you about paraffins particles floating in your turbine oil must be the same person who told me that Elvis is still alive and well.... [

the one who told me this,was persist that the laser particle counter is disable to do this correctly.
