Proprietary specs are a big problem.

Sadly, more manufacturers are pushing unobtainium fluids to the consumer. This adds another layer of profit margin, even if the OEM spec is inferior to other brands available on the market.

What you need to do is buy a bottle of each, and send it in for a thorough VOA. And, grab the specs sheets and MSDS info. VOA additive levels, OEM performance claims, fluid viscosity, will help you determine determine what is needed.

Once you have the data, you should be able to find a suitable replacement.

There are plenty of synthetic motor, gear, and drivetrain fluids available. I doubt that the polaris is anything special. But, in order to make a recommendation, one needs to know as much about an OEM spec as possible.
