I have a number of fan motors which require frequent regreasing. The DE roller bearing takes 50grammes every month and the NDE ball bearing takes 75grammes every three months.
Believing it was preferable to grease a smaller amount more frequently I set this up on a monthly route with 50grammes DE and 25grammes NDE. However we have now had a number of failures and I am starting to doubt that 25g per month = 75g per 3 months.
These are toshiba squirrel motors with grease relief ports.
Can anyone confirm this is good practice or otherwise.
