recycling of grease

Hello,
I am a vendor for grease lubrication systems.
Often I also come across my clients asking for recycling of spent grease.
As the cost of new grease is quite considerable, I think the recycling concept is quite viable.
Are there any such practices worldwide in general and India in particular ?

unless grease is in factory sealed contianers I think the chance of contamination is high and as sucj recyleing will not work.
in that no way to filter or clean grease to be sure it is OK

Used grease would have picked up debris in use and would also be contaminated, consequently unlikely to be recycled for the same application. I do not recall coming across any system that can clean used grease.

The only application I see of used grease is a temporary corrosion protection for metallic parts stored outside. Or protection of metallic (Corrogated sheets/Tin) used in roofings, fences etc..

David, I believe the original question was about bearing grease not cooking grease. That's one of the problems with revising dead threads. You cannot recycle used lubricating grease for a number of reasons including contamination.
