Read our primer articles on Oil Analysis and Tribology

I have a lubrication system with 10K gallons of ISO 320 Paper Machine oil and got a RPVOT test done, in addition to the regular oil analysis.
This is the first time doing the RPVOT and it's recommending to change the oil the analysis show a particle count of 21/17/15 a TAN 0.50, but the oil analysis shows a particle count for the pass 5 months of 15/14/12 to 17/16/14 with the TAN at 0.73, 0.5, 0.56, 0.67, 0.95 during the same 5 months. The RPVOT was done 18 days after the last oil analysis.
What can change the oil so rapidly?
Do I need a base line RPVOT test?
Were can I get information ASAP to make a decision.
