Does anyone know if Sodium Thiosulfate will alter a common oil analysis result?I recieved a new shipment of sample bottles with this in it. My oil test are normally focused on water,contamiation,chemistry,particle count and viscosity. Thanks

Seems fairly obvious to me that it would affect chemistry.

You should already be getting sodium and sulfur results, so they will be skewed.

Question: How do you know it's in there? Are you not buying certified clean bottles?

I would have to agree with Robert, it will definitely scew the chemistry results and possibly particle count results if the Na2S2O3 was in crystalline form in the bottles and doesn't dissolve in the product you are having sampled. Best to just get some new unused sample bottles.
