Petrotest makes a mini-flash tester that looks like a clone of the older set-flash, or maybe set-flash makes it with a petrotest name stamped on it?
I am using a Setaflah 3 with autoramp and I am very satisfied. It offers good value for the monney since it offers automatic flash detector for just few bucks more than the prehistoric Koehler instrument.
I am curious to know what type of standard solution you folks are using since I was not able to find standard that complies with the ASTM method for small scale flashpoint testing and the temperature range that I need (180-230 C).
Also, did any of you performed comparaison with COC? What type of results did you get?

Yes I have the same questions. Is ramping method in ASTM? We are trying to correlate it with COC, however no conclusive result yet.
Another question is, how many times we try to test the flash point? Is once enough per temperature setting?
