I have a friend who bought a 50 gal drum of this stuff at an industrial auction.Would it be ok to use it in a 90 Chevy truck etc?..thanks

A Chevy will run on practically everything since it's not a really 'high end' motor. But it would help if you at least specify the type of engine, how old it is, etc.

As far as I know this product also has API: SM, so no problem for gasoline engines. However, I think this product is maybe a bit of an overkill for that engine, it does not need a high synthetic like this, it might flush out all deposits...

with the syns cleaning of deposits, might come gasket leaks.
