TAN, Colour and ISO count. Technologies, PROS/CONS

Hello All,
Looking to get more opinions regarding these subjects. Any assistance would be much appreciated to help control the plant sumps.
Assuming contaminant ingression is low or best it is going to be.

1. What technologies are used to cost effectively meet ISO 19/17/15 particle counts

2. What technologies are used to cost effectively reduce TAN

3. What Technologies are used to improve colour

4. PROS/CONS of each technology including portability/Cost

I am sure there are some knowledgable people out there who could give there best opinions on these targets.

As you may know we make active filtration systems to remove submicron sludge and varnish from oil. Recently, we have started using the new dry resin cartridge made by Hilliard. Reports from the field indicate it drops the TAN value "Like a rock" to quote one of our customers.

1. Filtration
2. Sweetening
3. Fine Filtration and/or Sweetening
4. Cost of filtration system(s) depends on the amount of oil to be treated and the rate of generation of system induced contaminants (e.g. wear) and the ones ingressed from the outside (e.g. water, dirt, dust etc.). Cost of sweetening is very obvious.
