TAN in Shell Mobil Jet Oil II

We use mobil jet oil II in gas generator turbine. TAN increase about 0.5 mgKHO/g per month until TAN =2.5, the oil was changed while viscosity , Oxidation (FTIR)not increase.
Why viscosity and Oxidation did not increase while TAN increase ?
What is the limit TAN for Gas generator turbine ?

Contact Will Hurley at Fluidmetrics. They make an acid adsorption system specifically designed for PAO, POE type of fluids. Used these systems at last employer and extended the useful life of our screw compressor fluids from 8000 hours to better than 27000 and counting. In a couple of cases where the units were in service, the COP column lowered the TAN. No affiliation, just a satisfied customer.

The engine is stay at offshore platform, AN have increased than other oil and we change oil every 1 year due to high AN to prevent equipment corrosion, and we found that lower opertion temp. ( ~ 5 oC ) prolong shellife
