TBN/TAN Crossover?

According to this report done by Lubrizol, the TBN/TAN crossover occurred around 3,400 miles. At that point, it the oil may be near the end of it's life. I assume better oils can go a lot further than 3,400 miles if designed right...?

3400 miles is not much. But, the test conditions were unknown. 3400 could be 1000hrs stuck in traffic or 50 hours on the highway.

yeah that would be considerd dead while wear rates maybe OK the non TBN will cause sludge, varnish and rust
