water contamination in boat trailer bearing

hi, i've a problem with my boat trailer bearings. At highway speeds bearings are hot and for boat launchings wheels must be submerged becuase of that hub gets cool and pressure developes in the hub and water and grit come through seals.. so can anyone tell me how to solve this problem..

As a boater myself, and even dealing with the 120 degree summers in AZ, I have the answer for you.

These allow extra grease in the hub and protect the grease from water contamination.

You also want to make sure to use a very good grease.

OILKLEEN is correct, the bearing buddy's would be great in your application. In addition to the bearing buddy's use a highly water resistant grease since they get submerged in water at the loading ramp.

Husky LVI 20 is a superbly water resistent grease. It is a polymerized synthetic lube (food grade). It is by far the most water resistant grease I have used other than silicone based lubricants.

We buy it from C&L supply in LA California. You might be able to find a Husky oil distributor near you.

Oops I screwed up, the part number is "LVI-50", not "LVI-20"
