Water Saturation Curve

Hi,

I am studying the effects of different types of oil contamination and have run into a sticking point with regards to water contamination. I am familiar with the different phases of water contamination and how they occur. Currently I am working on determining the over all saturation level of the oil and attempting to convert this value back to an absolute ppm value. However, in order to do this I need the saturation curve for each oil I am working with which does not appear to be readily available. Would anyone know where/how I could acquire this information? Any help is appreciated.

I do not think such information is available. You need to create your own (or get a lab to do so) by measuring % saturation and ppm value on each oil type. Also when using %saturation theres is the temperature to consider.

You might get the %Saturation instrument supplier to help you out.

Ok. Thanks for the help. I thought I might have to determine the curve expirimentally, but I was hoping maybe there was a chance I could avoid that. It will be a bear considering it is a function of both temp. and ppm. Thanks again
