Keeping my 06 Acura TL feeling new, for
the long haul? At least 200K miles. It is "broken in" with Acura oil. Now has 6K miles. I had switched to AMSOIL 0-20 (Their best). But have been hearing so much about other synth oils - IE redline, etc.... Please note I know this is like lighting a fire here. But I really LOVE my car. And want only to keep it fresh!!

Redline is only $7 a quart at www.myoilshop.com

If you can put on 10,000 miles a year, run it on one year OCIs.

Beat on it. Redline will take it. It also will take your coldest winters (5w20 will do).

Nothing against any other oils, but I wouldn't put any of them past Amsoil.

I don't believe that there is a best oil.

ANY synthetic motor oil, in the required weight and change interval, will help your engine last a very long time. 200k miles is nothing! Most mineral oil and blends should get you there.

I didn't know that AMSOIL had a 0w20 oil. The only Amsoil 20wt weight that I can get is the group III 5w20 which, IMO, is not worth the expense. The only 0 oil that I can get from Amsoil is 0w30. Typo?????
