Can anyone tell me that What is the different between Hydraulic Oil and Slideway oil?

Hydro has a AW additive to protect the pump vans or rotors from wear.
Way oil has FM or friction modifiers to reduce both static and dynamic co efficent of friction
it is slippery. And some have a non drip tacky addtive.
Same base oil can be used in similar viscosity diff is in the additives only.

depending on the type of slide and the loads, I have also used a light gear lube in these types of applications with success. Gear lubes have extreme pressure additives that help with the type of wear that can be associated with a sliding motion as in gear face movement. You also need to know the load to help determine the viscosity required.
