Hi, We don't know the lubricant you mentioned but just go to the application and apply accordingly, sounds like they are suggesting EP but you would only need EP if there were tapered roller bearings, spherical roller bearings or helical gears in the application, ISO 150 about an SAE 40 Engine Oil Viscosity, regards

Hi Rob
Thanks for your reply.
The pump is a hydrauliclly actuated diaphragm metering pump from AquFlow.
i think there should have 2 types oil. hydraulic oil and gear oil.
but there only informed the oil as mentioned above and said it used as hydaulic oil.
so i am comfused.
Is there anybody know this pump and any comments?
Hi wxh, you should be able to run on an automotive gear lubricant that relates to the ISO 150, check if there is any chance of the lubricant being in contact with the diaphragm (There should not be from your description)sounds like the hydraulic system is a simple push and return so an ISO 46 to 68 Hydraulic Fluid should be fine, regards Rob S
check also the fluid (product) temperature which is handled by mettering pump (which tauch the diapragm)

if it is handling liquid which temperature is about -35 degree C, pour point of the hydraulic oil shall be considered.

second, is about consideration if the diapragm is leak, and the hydraulic oil is contaminating the product. is your product, food grade?
if yes, the food grade hydraulic oil shall be considered
