Chingy,

150,000 miles almost almost quarter million kilometer and that is a lot of mileage. For old engines Castrol recommended GP Multigrade a 20w/50 oil. I wonder if it is still available now a days.

If you are not a very cold climate SAE 20w/40 viscometrics should be a good bet, for fairly cold climate suggest 15w/40. Castrol GTX and its variants like Magnatec should a good choice.

From the chek chart:
1999-92 All
all temperatures 5w-40, 5w-50
above 5F(15C), 15w-40, 15w-50
above -4F(20C), 10w-40, 10w-50, 10w-60
-4 to 50F(-20 to 10C), 10w-30
Below 25F(-5C), 5w-30
Diesel engine oil will give you a more robust additive package. Follow the owners manual for your API/GF specification. If you are burning oil, bump up the viscosity.
