Most of the additives are metalic salts and suicidal types. Especially TBN etc.....during usage, it will get consumed and this leads to depletion

Menon, has rightly pointed out, that most additives are "Metallic salts," however, I would like to use the word "additives are sacrificial." Thus, they get depleted in use.
