I am doing a design of experiments on different oils with different dielectric constants. Does anybody know of some higher dielectric constant oils. Most of the oils I am testing fall in the 2.0-2.7 range. I am looking for oils with both higher dielectrics than that and also oils with lower dielectrics than that. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Diester oils have higher dielectric constants.
I have a Fyrquel 220 which has 6.870 listed as its dielectric constant. Most mineral and PAO oils will in your 2.0-2.7 range.

The Fyrquel 220 I have is a reference standard for the CSI 5200 MiniLab and is available from CSI at http://www.csimeansreliability.com/files/MiniLabConsumables.pdf
It is sold in a kit that contains three different reference oils.

Otherwise Fyrquel is a fire resistant hydraulic fluid used in steam turbine control systems

As BuckHntr has indicated Fyrquel is fire resistant hydraulic fluid and is a Phosphate Ester type fluid. A Google search revealed its source as
