Equivalent Product

Looking for a product to replace a discontinued product. It is a Naphthenic Base Oil (Viscosity, SUS @100F 109, Aniline Point, F 176) that contains natural white rubber. It is used in the manufacture of glass in glass contact areas. Please advise if you know of a similar product. Thank you.

Most Lube companies have a Glass Mould Oil or similar. Other wise seek a straight mineral light spindle oil ISO VG 22 ( closest to SUS 109@100F) with additional parameter of an Aniline Point of 80C ( 176F) typically a Napthenic product.

Interestingly and in comparison the typical mineral oil Transformer oils ( are nowadays of Napthenic base) would be a good match. However the KV40 would be in the range of 12 to 15 as against KV40 of 22 indicated above. The benefit would better heat dissipation and cooling of work piece.

A Flash point of 140 to 150 C would probably be a plus.
