I have a critical reduction box, SEW, dual drive (motor-reduction box-reduction box), slow RPM (final drive) holds 54l of oil. How do I calculate the frequency of oil analysis???
You could fit an oil condition sensor, to monitor the age of the oil, and the condition of it, and then analyse/change oil only when necessary. This partially depends on the value/criticality of the gearbox. There are various marques on the market - if you want information about ours, email me at: m.harle@argo-hytos.com .
There are various generic charts that can assist with determining sampling frequencies, search for sampling frequencies on Google. I think that who ever you talk to will tell you something different, I would suggest sampling it on a monthly basis for a few months to determine if any trends are evident, from here you can make an educated decision on extending your sampling intervals.
