This whole pet rental thing is giving me a headache. I found a place that seemed promising, but the landlord said they “prefer tenants without pets.” My cat is quiet, doesn’t scratch furniture, and I even offered extra insurance, but they still turned me down. I thought the new laws were supposed to stop landlords from rejecting pet owners so easily? Are they just finding ways around it, or do I actually have a case to push back?
