Hello,

We have a perkin elmer ICP 8300dv our main equipment for analyzing wear elements. Over the past 24 hours I have not been able to ignite plasma. The error message is: shear gas not flowing. we use an air compressor channeled through a filter and membrane dryer for shear gas. The shear gas setup has been inspected and there are no leakages or visible problems. I have removed the shear gas nozzle, I detected some fine dust in there, I've cleaned it up with compressed air and yet the problem persist. Has any one experienced this? could you kindly share how you solved this?

Hello,

Comrades has anyone experienced a situation where ICP will not ignite plasma and seem not to spark at all during the ignition process? could you kindly share the steps taken to resolve this. ICP has been used to analyze 100 used oil samples already and abruptly after a qc failure, it seems not to be able to ignite plasma.
