Marfax and Marfak

An old military manual says uses Marfax #1. I do not see any current references to it. What is a modern equivalent? Is it the same as Marfak? When and why the name change. Thanks

Hi Namir5, Unless there is an important reason to try and repeat the original lubrication I'm inclined to check the applications requirement then apply the correct modern day lubrication for the area being lubricated.
