My PC randomly stops recognizing my keyboard and mouse. Sometimes the sound just disappears. I restart, and it works again for a while, but then the problem comes back. I checked the Device Manager, and it says there are driver issues. I reinstalled them manually, but it didn’t help much. What’s causing this? Are my drivers corrupted or just outdated?

Sounds like your drivers are either outdated or not installed correctly. If you’ve manually reinstalled them and the problem persists, they might not be the right versions. Sometimes Windows installs generic drivers that don’t work well with specific hardware. Have you tried using a driver update tool? It could save you a lot of time.

That makes sense. I did notice that Windows keeps replacing my drivers with default ones. Maybe that’s why my devices keep failing. Any specific tool you’d recommend that won’t install a bunch of junkware?

Yeah, Windows sometimes does that, and it’s annoying. You need a tool that finds the right drivers but doesn’t add unnecessary extras. I’ve been using DriverHub https://www.drvhub.net/ for a while. It only installs essential drivers, no bloatware, and you can pick which ones to update. Plus, it backs up your old drivers just in case. Might be worth a shot.
