Read our primer articles on Oil Analysis and Tribology

i am looking and seeking information on how best i can analyze my oil samples so as to produce results on site.at the moment, we don't have any instruments on site to do our analysis, hence, we send it off shore for analysing results. i need information on instruments i can get or have on site to get quick or prompt results. example, instruments for testing viscosity, PQ index, infra-red testing, particle count etc.

Dear Gentlemen,
sorry I did not inform you earlier as I just have seen all this discussion.
We are using OSA-II (On-Site Analyzer) for number of years and we are fully satisfied with the results. This is integrated unit providing automated analysis of wear metals, viscosity, contaminants. The manufacturer had developed it and now may include particle counter, dual temp viscometer (40C and 100C), extended metal measurement. You may see all info at http://www.on-siteanalysis.com/
